Volt-M HARD is our most aggressive mechanical rubber perfect for players who prefer a bouncy rubber with a high grip feeling. Volt-M HARD uses a taller pip geometry arranged in a diagonal array giving enhanced ability to hold the ball longer and catapult effect. Volt-M HARD is a small batch premium rubber, created by selecting only the best cuts of our exclusive Gambler Japanese “Oh-Toro” sponge and combining with our proprietary formulated top sheet. Volt-M HARD characteristics are closely associated with the “European style” of play, or alternatively “Chinese style” backhand. Speed: MAX Spin: 97 Control: 80 Sponge Type: Gambler “Oh-Toro” Japanese middle cut, HARD 48 -2 Spin Type: Mechanical (bouncy not sticky) Note: Directly comparable in speed and spin with the top brands of Japan, faster than Tenergy® type speed. Use of Tuners: Just like the top Japanese rubbers Volt-M HARD actually will get slower after tuning. Gambler generally does not recommend the use of tuners with this high performance rubber, however after a week of play post tuner the rubber picks back the original speed and a touch more spin. If you must use tuner only use paraffin based formulas NEVER (regular baby oil) mineral oil based tuners.
