Description Offer – Classic aerial silks for acrobatics and circus, high quality and resistance, perfect for beginners but also for the advanced practitioners. In this video you can appreciate better the color of the aerial silks: If you prefer a different kind of fabric, brighter and more elastic, great for the performances, please check out our On-Stage aerial silks for performances. How to calculate the length of the fabric you need? The length of fabric should be the double of the ceiling height or structure where you are going to hang it, plus two metres. So if your ceiling is 5m high you will need 12 m of Aerial silks. To performance drops, you might need a minimum of 14 metres so you can hang it from 6 meters height. Please note the size listed is the TOTAL length of the silk. As aerial silks are rigged from the centre, the working length is a little under half the total length. Externally tested for up to 1000 kg of static weight load before braking with a very good plastic performance Width: 160 cm – 63 inches Approximate density: 200 g / m2 Medium stretch (7-15% excellent for drops) Non-slip textured, excellent grip (Great for beginners) Attractive sheen Made in Spain, no toxic Rigging kit is not included but you can purchase it in our Accessorise area or get our aerial silk Kit or our Kit pro with a big eight and the option for swivel Safety: Our fabrics have the resistance test by an external team and withstand more than 1000 kg of static load. with a good plastic performance. Important Note: Our fabric is good for aerial acrobatics, because has a no slippery texture and is very durable. The silk is also very good for making hammocks for children. But this type of fabric (medium stretch) is not suitable for aerial yoga hammocks for adult people. If you are looking for a fabric to make an aerial hammock, please check our Aerial silks to make hammocks. This one is a very low stretch fabric (in length) and is 2.50 metres wide. Fabrics should be checked periodically for weakening and holes. At the time of inspection, check especially at the junction with the eight or beam where they are installed, as this is where the fabrics can suffer the most. By installing the fabrics and accessories correctly, the chances of damaging the fabric are minimized, since the pressure on the fabric is distributed over a larger surface area. By placing the fabric correctly on the large horned figure eight, the pressure is better distributed and the risk of friction is reduced. Compared to the simple eight, there is a larger contact surface and less risk of damaging the material. For this reason, the fabric should never be hung directly to a hook or carabiner. For classes and regular use with drops performances we recommend using the eight with horns correctly positioned or our Pro Kit, as it distributes the tensions better. Even so, the material should be checked periodically for possible tears. We do not change the material for damage once it has been used, as there can be many factors that can damage a fabric, even if it is used correctly. For example, certain drops can increase the risk of damage to the fabric, regardless of its resistance (which is tested regularly), but by friction that raises the temperature of the fabric. Also the way the accessories are installed can affect the integrity of the fabrics. However, no installation method guarantees 100 x 100 its integrity, so the material must be checked periodically and changed if there is any damage, just like any other material used for work at height or climbing. How to install the aerial acrobatic silks? When you hang them from a ceiling (without an exposed beam) you might need a climbing 8, and a carabiner ( or choose our aerial silk kit that include both things) and a well installed hook in the ceiling (Installed without screws also make sure that the hook is strong enough and the screws are suitable for your type of ceiling). The installation should be done by a competent person. It must be installed on the supporting structure of the building, never on false ceilings. If you are going to hang them directly from a beam we recommend to put a towel or between the beam and the fabric in order to protect it. The fabric should not be exposed to the sun for long periods of time as this weakens the material.
