Description This rigging kit includes aerial silks for performances, an eight descender, a climbing carabiner, and anti-slip resin for hands. The fabric is shiny, non-toxic, and very resistant. How to Calculate the Length of Fabric You Need: The length of fabric should be double the ceiling height (or structure) where you plan to hang it, plus two meters. For example, if your ceiling is 5 meters high, you will need 12 meters of aerial silks. To perform drops, you might need a minimum of 14 meters so you can hang it from a 6-meter height. If you need a length not available in our options, please don’t hesitate to contact us. How to install the silks? When you hang the aerial silks for performances from a ceiling (without an exposed beam) you might need a climbing 8, a carabiner and a ceiling hook (make sure that the hook is strong enough and the screws are suitable for your type of ceiling). The installation should be done by a competent person. It must be installed on the supporting structure of the house, never on false ceilings. If you are going to hang them directly from a tree branch or a beam we recommend to put a towel or between the tree branch (or beam) and the fabric in order to protect it. The fabric should not be exposed to the sun for long periods of time as this weakens the material. Important: Installation should be done by a competent person.
