Description Kit Aerial silks and accessories for hanging them – figure “8” and climbing carabiner. Due to its characteristics the Classic acrobatic fabric is ideal for beginners and professionals alike. In this video you can appreciate better the color of the Classic aerial silks: If you prefer brighter fabrics for shows, we recommend our On Stage fabrics. In addition to being brighter, they are more elastic and lighter than the Classic. How to calculate the length of the fabric you need? The length of fabric should be the double of the ceiling height or structure where you are going to hang it, plus two metres. So if your ceiling is 5m high you will need 12 m of Aerial silks. To performance drops, you might need a minimum of 14 metres so you can hang it from 6 meters height. If you are going to hang them directly from a tree branch or a beam we recommend to put a towel or a piece of fabric between the tree branch (or beam) and the fabric in order to protect it. If you need a length that does not appear in the options do not hesitate to contact us. Features of the Classic aerial silks: Elasticity: medium stretch (between 7 and 15%) Plot: non-slip, great for beginners Material: 100% polyester Toxicity: No toxic, Made in Spain Width: 160cm Length: the meters you choose. For use in the trees we recommend a standard size 12-14 meters. Shine: medium-low Safety: Our fabrics have the resistance externally tested and withstand more than 1000 kg of static load with a safe plastic performance. The eight and climbing carabiner are CE homologated. Fabrics should be checked periodically for weakening and holes. At the time of inspection, check especially at the junction with the eight or beam where they are installed, as this is where the fabrics can suffer the most. By installing the fabrics and accessories correctly, the chances of damaging the fabric are minimized, since the pressure on the fabric is distributed over a larger surface area. By placing the fabric correctly on the large horned figure eight, the pressure is better distributed and the risk of friction is reduced. Compared to the simple eight, there is a larger contact surface and less risk of damaging the material. For this reason, the fabric should never be hung directly to a hook or carabiner. For classes and regular use with drops performances we recommend using the eight with horns correctly positioned or our Pro Kit, as it distributes the tensions better. Even so, the material should be checked periodically for possible tears. We do not change the material for damage once it has been used, as there can be many factors that can damage a fabric, even if it is used correctly. For example, certain drops can increase the risk of damage to the fabric, regardless of its resistance (which is tested regularly), but by friction that raises the temperature of the fabric. Also the way the accessories are installed can affect the integrity of the fabrics. However, no installation method guarantees 100 x 100 its integrity, so the material must be checked periodically and changed if there is any damage, just like any other material used for work at height or climbing. Installation: We recommend asking a professional to do the installation. Never install the fabrics in a false ceiling, or from a structure depending on few screws. If you want to hang the aerial silks kit you should a proper hook installed correctly by a professional or hang the fabrics to an exposed beam structurally strong , avoiding any type of friction between the beam and the hardware and checking periodically the state of the material. if you plan to install the silk straight to a strong beam, check that do not have sharp edges or Raugh texture, we recommend to put a towel between the beam and the silk to prevent the damage of the silk.
