“On-Stage” aerial silks for performances and shows

If you prefer a different kind of fabric, less elastic, please check out our Classic aerial silks. How to calculate the length of the fabric you need? The length of fabric should be the double of the ceiling height or structure where you are going to hang it, plus two metres. So if your ceiling is 5m high you will need 12 m of Aerial silks. To performance drops, you might need a minimum of 14 metres so you can hang it from 6 meters height. If you need a length that does not appear in the options do not hesitate to contact us. How to install the silks? When you hang the aerial silks for performances from a ceiling (without an exposed beam) you might need a climbing 8, a carabiner and a ceiling hook (make sure that the hook is strong enough and the screws are suitable for your type of ceiling). The installation should be done by a competent person. It must be installed on the supporting structure of the house, never on false ceilings. If you are going to hang them directly from a tree branch or a beam we recommend to put a towel between the tree branch / beam and the fabric in order to protect it. Other care instructions “OnStage” fabrics are resistant to lateral tension, as long as it is not applied to the edges, since stretching the fabric widthwise at the edges can cause it to fray.
